How to use the OPML file
OPML is the standard import format every feed reader understands. Download it, then:
- Feedly - Settings, then Import OPML.
- Inoreader - Preferences, Import/Export, Import OPML.
- NetNewsWire / Reeder - File, Import Subscriptions.
- Thunderbird - Feeds account, Manage Subscriptions, Import.
Feeds arrive grouped in a folder per ticker, so one company's news reads as one story instead of scattered across your reader.
What this does and does not solve
It solves coverage: in about a minute you have every free per-ticker source wired into one reader, including the SEC filings feed most people never set up. It does not solve speed. RSS is polled, not pushed, so your delay is your reader's refresh interval plus however long the publisher took to write the story. On free reader tiers that is commonly 15 to 60 minutes. No. The page builds the URLs and the OPML file in your browser with JavaScript. There is no server call and no account.
