How to export from Quizlet to Anki

  1. If it's your own set: open the set → ⋯ menu → Export → choose Tab between term and definition → Copy text → paste it above. Done.
  2. If Export isn't available: scroll the set so all terms load, select the whole term list with your mouse (or Ctrl/Cmd-A), copy, and paste it above. Terms and definitions land on alternating lines — the auto-detector handles that.
  3. Pick a deck name, hit Download .apkg, then double-click the file (or in Anki: File → Import).

FAQ

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. The .apkg file is generated by JavaScript in your browser. Your cards never touch a server — you can even use the page offline once loaded.

Why .apkg instead of CSV?

Anki imports .apkg with a double-click on every platform, including AnkiMobile and AnkiDroid. CSV import requires the desktop app and fiddly field-mapping settings.

Does this work with AnkiDroid / AnkiMobile?

Yes — .apkg is Anki's native package format and imports on all Anki apps.

My preview looks wrong.

Set the separator manually. If your definitions contain commas, use the Tab or double-comma export option in Quizlet.
