Jobber vs Housecall Pro (2026): the honest pricing math
Both tools do the same core job: scheduling, dispatch, quotes, invoices, and payments for local service businesses. The real differences are where the price breaks fall and which features are held back to which tier. Here is the math most comparison posts skip.

Year-one difference at the entry tier: $420 in Jobber's favor on annual billing. But note the review-management line: if Google reviews are how you win work, HCP includes that at Basic while Jobber holds it upmarket.

Correction, 11 August 2026: an earlier version of this page said Jobber Connect's $80/mo covered five users and beat Housecall Pro Essentials by $828/yr. That was wrong. Connect includes one user; every extra seat is $29/mo. At five logins Connect is $80 + 4 × $29 = $196/mo, which is $564/yr more than HCP Essentials at $149/mo — the comparison flips. Jobber only wins on price when your headcount is low; Connect undercuts Essentials at one or two logins ($80–$109/mo) and loses above three. On top of that you give up GPS tracking, flat-rate pricebooks, and annotated photo reports. Those three features matter a lot in HVAC and plumbing, much less in cleaning or lawn care. That is the honest fork in the road, not a winner/loser call.

Payment processing — the hidden line item
Housecall Pro publishes card processing from 2.59% + fees. Jobber's processing runs on Jobber Payments at a similar headline rate. On $300k/yr of card volume, a 0.3-point difference is $900/yr — comparable to the software subscription itself. Whichever tool you pick, negotiate processing once you pass ~$25k/mo in card volume; both vendors have discretion they don't advertise.
